Terri Bacow, Ph.D.
I work with adolescent and adult clients, treating anxiety, depression, life transitions and ADHD using evidence based treatments. The therapy approaches I offer include CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) and DBT (dialectical behavior therapy). These strategies (CBT, ACT and DBT) are supported by research as being very helpful in reducing distress and promoting active coping. Additionally, I work with new and expectant parents and offer comprehensive support for parent mental health and burnout (keeping our sanity is important!)
Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a professional psychologist can make things better. I am a parent of two children, and all too familiar with the challenges of stress management and dealing with daily chaos. I care about your well-being and provide you with empirically-supported tools that can help you learn how to tackle even the most difficult circumstances.
